About
Amsterdam based designer, a cheerful fellow that listens to others with heart, a team player that likes achieving goals together with others rather than alone, an innovator, structure and organization nerd, father, partner, skate rider, woodwork hobbyist, and dancer.
I began in the tech industry. That was when I joined the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Although I loved designing, and prototyping, it felt like I first needed to understand people around me before serving them technical solutions. The “aha moment” was strong enough to make me take life into my own hands. I stepped over to social sciences and majored in psychology, philosophy, and history. But tech has never left me. While running a cultural association, organizing scientific conferences, coordinating cultural projects, there was always a need for tech skills. And so I created my first PHP/MySQL CMS for our association website, designed hundreds of flyers, maintained social media accounts, and much more. That way I learned HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, various CMS, and graphic design.
Later in 2010, when I moved to Amsterdam, I continued my career as a web dev & design freelancer and provided my services to numerous clients. My previous experience from the social sector appeared to go along very nicely with the tech skills. I learned to practice the human-centered design, i.e. addressing the core needs of those who experience a problem, and design solutions accordingly.
Today, I work on holistic design solutions, from early-stage user research and idea generation until the detailed design of service features and user stories in a digital product.
